If you want to get married in the mountains without driving several hours outside Denver, you have to have a Mount Vernon Canyon Club wedding. The grounds have a lot of photo opportunities, and you can have your wedding ceremony on the patio overlooking the canyon.
Kate and David's wedding day began getting ready at the Brown Palace Hotel. This hotel is amazing. It has so much history, style, and design. I could easily just wander the halls and photograph all sorts of stuff for a few hours. You can kinda see it here. While Kate and David didn't opt to say their vows there, you certainly could. It's a great wedding venue if you are looking to stay in Downtown Denver.
After getting ready, it was time to head up to the foothills towards lookout mountain. Considering the Brown Palace is only 26 minutes to the Mount Vernon Canyon Club, it's a pretty good option. I this is more of a testiment to MVCC for its proximity to Denver and its ability to still feel like the mountains.
Kate and Dave held their ceremony on the patio overlooking the Clear Creek Canyon. It is a really nice space that was recently renovated. I thought it was a great idea to have guests throw lavendar as Kate and Dave walked down the aisle together as husband and wife. I have a soft spot for lavendar. *Ask me about it sometime.
For some added fun during the reception K+D hired Ear 2 Ear Photobooths to come out. It's a photobooth that not only has print and fun props for your guests, but the photo booth itself is an old ski gondola. Super cool.
