Most of my couples want to do a engagement session in the mountains. My answer is do you want them in the background, be in the mountains, or on top of the mountains so you can see forever?
Having a Colorado engagement session offers all these possibilities. The only limit is time and, of course, if you want to hike to find the perfect engagement photo location. Ideally its best to take your engagement photos in a location that you love and means something to you as a couple.
Christina and Rob brought their dog; a super cute Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, since she won't be in the wedding. ;) Hey, you love your dog and they are a part of your life, why not bring them too.
Most of this engagement session was great. The light was a little flat but I felt it would peek out at the last minute so I didn't worry. Down in the trees is was great and I remember myself and Rob remarking just how great it smelled. So crisp and clean. Ahhhhhhhh. So nice. I certainly could use that today.
By the time we reached the summit it was insanely windy and cold. Almost to a hilarious point. I kept saying, "Okay, now pretend your face doesn't feel like its going to blow off. Its warm. So warm!" We had a good laugh and you can see that in a couple shots below.
We had a great time and certainly left with a good story to share about what was involved to take these. Enjoy!
I am available for all of Colorado and destination weddings, elopements, and engagements. I love to wander.
