Stephanie and Dougs' Aspen Colorado Mountain wedding began at The St. Regis, ceremony at Maroon Bells Amphitheater, and reception at the Mountain Chalet Aspen.
This was on a banner summer Colorado day. As it began to heat up we headed up the mountain and by the time we were done there we headed back to Aspen to ride out the sunset. Just a perfect day.
We did have a little mishap once we got to the top. Stephanie started to get pretty lightheaded up at the Maroon Bells Amphitheater. This was due to simply forgetting to eat. The wedding day tends to fly by and it's not that odd to forget to eat. Above food, when you are at high altitude you NEED WATER. It's kinda weird but you need to drunk waaaay more water than you think. If you haven't gone to the bathroom in a long while... you haven't had enough water.
Having some small snacks on hand is perfect too for when you get into a tricky spot. Apples are perfect for this.
Once we were back in Aspen at the Mountain Chalet, all was well and Stephanie and Doug had an incredibly fun evening with their family and friends.
I am available for all of Colorado and destination weddings, elopements, and engagements. I love to wander.
