For those of you out there doing your wedding planning and thinking, "Why don't we just elope?", you should really think about it. In the case of Andrea and Bryan it made perfect sense. These Oklahoman's knew they wanted to get married in the mountains. They found the Black Canyon Inn in Estes Park and felt it fit their style and how they were wanting to have their wedding. Don't want to mess with family complications? Don't want to dump a bunch of money into a giant party for poeple you don't really know? Want a larger adventure that wouldn't be possible on a full blown wedding day? You should elope.
I have shot a few elopements and have completely loved every one. You might think they are all 1 or 2 hours only. That's not the case. When you elope we are on our own schedule to do what you want and as a result we get some incredible photos.
Andrea and Bryan wanted a personal short ceremony at the Black Canyon Inn and then to head into Rocky Mountain National Park for some hiking and some truly amazing wedding photographs. They didn't seem to have much issue with coming from 500 ft above sea level and hiking to 10,000 feet. They may have the next day but they were troopers and up for anything. Bryan did have to remind me to be careful and he didn't want to make a call to my wife. What can I say? I get excited in nature.
I am available for all of Colorado and destination weddings and engagements. I love to wander.
