What I love above all things about weddings is the way you can integrate who you are as a couple. These two love 4 wheeling so much so that is how they met. Kara bought a Jeep and found a off-road group online, one that Aaron was a part of.
What better way to showcase and celebrate what you love than to get married at 14,000 feet on top of a mountain?
We started the day getting ready at the base of the mountain in Breckenridge. After everyone was all set, it was time to round up all the vehicles and prep for the summit.
Aaron led the way helping people with some tight switch backs near the top. This a great time for me to hop out and capture some of the action of everyone making it up. Once at the summit everyone went to work setting up chairs and an aisle runner.
For those of you who aren't into hiking 14'ers. Mountain summits can be extremely windy and cold. Same for us on this day in summer. I was freezing, the wind is whipping around and I'm getting sunburned without even feeling it. You're so much closer you have to wear sunscreen... even when you're freezing. It's a deceiving combo. Just a pro tip there for you.
The ceremony itself was great and even the wind let up a little so everyone could hear Kara and Aaron share their vows.
I'd love to help you two figure out how to have the amazing wedding of your dreams. You might start with a nugget of an idea or have nothing. I can help. I am constantly researching and finding awesome national and international locations.
I am available for all of Colorado and destination weddings, elopements, and engagements. I love to wander.
