This spring wedding wasn't quite what Analiese and Josh had planned but it was so beautiful and pretty. They planned on a Colorado Chautauqua Community House Wedding and it snowed the night before and the clouds just never left and we had this neat fog covering the flatiron mountains.
The trees were left with giant fat piles of semi-wet snow and it added an extra level of mystery and magic to the day. Thankfully, it was actually warm-ish and no wind. Yahoooo!
Their wedding plans have certainly evolved over time. Initially starting with a super small wedding at a dog beer garden. Which also sounds amazing to me. I think their guest list count grew and needed a venue but wanted to maintain the laid-back ideal. The Chautauqua has several venues to choose from. The Chautauqua Community House in Boulder, Colorado, is a cherished landmark with a rich history deeply rooted in the spirit of the Chautauqua movement. Founded in 1898, this historic structure stands as one of the few remaining Chautauqua sites west of the Mississippi River. Today, it continues to serve as a vibrant center for arts, culture, and lifelong learning, preserving its legacy as a beacon of intellectual curiosity and community engagement in the Rocky Mountain region.
I have to give it up to the amazing planning skills of Lyndsay of Lovestruck Weddings and Events and the catering team. They had to setup and flip the ceremony space to the rehearsal space and pack it several tables and chairs. Then, after dinner they again had to break it down fir Analiese and Josh's lightsaber entrance. A super surprise for Josh that made him tear up. Yes, I totally caught that. It was very sweet.
