May and Daniel wanted their Denver Botanic Gardens Wedding to be an intimate and very personal wedding. I can't think of a more perfect spot than this aged green art deco building near the Science Pyramid. It actually has a fun and kinda odd name, Woodland Mosaic. The Woodland Mosaic is a perfect little spot for a wedding ceremony. It's pretty small and was perfect for May and Daniels wedding size of 8.
May and Daniel had minimal but some pretty perfect details including a very nice selection of whiskey and scotches. I really loved her bouquet. She wasn't too specific with her florist, Beet and Yarrow, and they chose to include a Zingiber spectabile or Beehive Ginger as its known. It was really interesting and surprising that they selected that. Pretty bold idea and just happened to be one of their daily bouquets.
May and Daniel had one of their friends marry them in a very nice short ceremony. What really hit my heart was after the ceremony they poured out everyone a blackberry brandy (A family tradition of May's) and began toasts. I don't know if it was the quick hit of the brandy or that there was so few people but everyones toast was soooo meaningful and touching. I loved it and it will be a very special memory for me. Another great reminder of why I do this.
The other thing I absolutely love about small wedding and elopement style weddings is the time we have for portraits. After the ceremony the three of us just wandered the gardens and had fun and explored with zero time pressure. Pretty great if you as me.
I am available for all of Colorado and destination weddings, elopements, and engagements. I love to wander.
