Alex and Brandon's first date was in the Dairy Block. A small section of downtown Denver that has been renovated to join the adjacent stores in this city block for a really fun shopping experience with several dining locations. All around is some really neat art and design along the way.
We all thought it was very fitting to have their engagement session there. Brandon also proposed here so yeah, the Dairy Block in Denver means a lot to these two. I love the mountains but I love a good love story and the meaning behind it even more.
I did still manage to find a bit of nature to integrate them with, but showcasing how these two are with each other is where it's at.
We started out wandering around the alley way, playing on some scooters, digital art installations, found a cool bamboo wall and of course, had to have some ice cream!
Urban engagement photo sessions can be a lot of fun. I just tend to shift my focus on nature to patterns, textures, perspective, and of course, architecture. You are also not so beholden to the time of day. Due to how the light bounces between buildings and streets the best time of day may be 1pm for a particular area vs always aiming for that golden hour time of the day.
I am available for all of Colorado and destination weddings, elopements, and engagements. I love to wander.
