These are Megan and Eric's Winter anniversary session in Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park Colorado. We decided to head up high into the mountains and to do a bit of hiking to get this incredible view.
Poor Megan mistakenly brought the wrong boots and was slipping everywhere until her steadfast husband came to the rescue with some boots with a least a bit of tread and traction.
Megan initially contacted me with a very fun idea to photograph an anniversary session for her and Eric. But not just an ordinary one. She wanted to do a anniversary photo session in each season. Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. Each in their wedding attire, or variations of their attire.
For Winter here, we decided on hiking up to Dream Lake would be not only gorgeous with the frozen lake but also fun. It's a pretty packed trail so it wouldn't be too challenging to do in late January. Yes it was cold, but the sun was out too so that helped. I do remember at one point the wind really whipped up and there was tiny ice shards flying towards me away from the mountainside. That was fun. Hahahahaha
Check out their Spring anniversary shoot in Rocky Mountain National Park, their Summer at the Denver County Fair, and Fall at a corn maze and farm in Parker, Colorado.
I am available for all of Colorado and destination weddings, elopements, and engagements. I love to wander.
