The Evergreen lake house has special place in Dianna and Brandon's hearts. It's the spot where they both realized they were meant for eachother and it just made since to come back for their Evergreen Lake House Wedding.
I really enjoyed spending time with Dianna and her family getting ready at their house. It was so nice and relaxed. Dianna and her dad played the piano and sang together for a few songs before Dianna's maid of honor played a song or two before getting her hair finished. It was a really great moment.
The weather was a bit dreary but cleared up just long enough for their ceremony and portraits. We were even greeted by a busy muskrat that was working hard in the lake. The outside deck along the lake was a fantastic spot for their ceremony.
The Evergreen Lake House is a great spot that is worth visiting year round really. I remember coming up in the winters to ice skate on the lake. A pretty unique experience around here. Most places to ice skate are indoor arenas and temporary rinks at malls. It's just not the same. You can also go ice fishing. That's not to say its only suited for winter. The lake obviously offers the usual summer awesomeness like paddle boarding, fishing, and hiking and walking trails.
Originally built in the early 1920s, the Lake House started as a gathering place for local residents and soon transformed into a social hub. Over the decades, it has weathered the tests of time and stands proudly today as a beloved landmark.
