May 4th Colorado Wedding

Jessica and John came to Colorado to elope and for Star Wars super nerds May 4th sounded like the perfect date.

For those who aren't familiar, May 4th kinda became Star Wars day. Not for any particular reason other than, "May the 4th... be with you." Super corny, but people love it and here we are. Originally coined at an event in Toronto back in 2011 called Original Trilogy Game Show.

We started in Rocky Mountain National Park at 3M curve. It's a great overlook spot that you can see all across the moraine valley. After visiting a waterfall it was time for a lightsaber battle and then exchanging vows at Sprague Lake.

Even though this was May, we still had quite a bit of snow and Jessica and John were all for it. Trudging around in the snow, dancing around and moving through the gorgeous white aspen trees. What better way to finish out the day than by signing their marriage license.
