Amanda and Ken came out from Ohio for their Colorado Mountain Wedding along with their close friends who observed and officiated. I have to say it, I really enjoy these small intimate weddings. I think they couple has less pressure, they can do the things and in the way that they want, and we have way more time for portraits. Which is key if your having a Rocky Mountain National Park wedding. There's so many incredible spots and great variance. It's not all just big mountain views, but incredible trees, wide open valley's, lots of lakes and animals. Pretty perfect.
Their wedding ceremony was held at the 3M curve, which I really enjoy. Its a great starting point. Especially for those couples who have never been to Rocky Mountain National park or even seen a mountain before. I delighted to show you around.
After their wedding ceremony it was time to explore around RMNP. I always have a general rough plan of spots to see but when you see some incredible light you have to jump on it as it will change and be gone. I am very driven by light. Specifically dynamic light, where you have a piece of bright light and spots of dark shadows. I find it more interesting and inspiring to play with the light along with capturing the experience of the couple exploring and bring so in love with each other and experiencing that together. All the while cracking dumb dad jokes.
I am available for all of Colorado and destination weddings, elopements, and engagements. I love to wander.
