Brittney and Neil's Hindu Wedding at Spruce Mountain Ranch in Larkspur Colorado was an amazing all-day affair. Outfit changes, so many colors and traditions. I love it.
I really love shooting Hindu weddings. I really enjoy that everything has such great design. You have the design and planning of the wedding, but then everyone is wearing such interesting attaire.
Speaking of planning, this wedding was designed and planned by Susan at Save the Date Events. I don't believe every wedding needs a planner, but many will benefit greatly from hiring one. It's certainly very beneficial to hand over the myriad of tiny little things to a person, who isn't family, that will get it done without bothering you all day. A wedding like this really needs a planner. You have several separate events to organize and many vendors to coordinate with. All these things are hard to accomplish when you (the bride) have 3+ outfits to put on and many other little ceremonies to participate in. You shouldn't have to worry about the centerpieces. Speaking of, the flowers were provided by Love Letters Floral.
I joined Brittney and Neil for their Garba on a rooftop patio at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Denver. Neil's cousins performed a dance for them before Brittney and her ladies then leading into a few dances themselves. It was so fun to see. The entire crowd them joined in once the Dandiya sticks came out. I have to figure out a way to jump in but still be able to take photos cause it looked like a bunch of fun.
The next day was the wedding out at Spruce Mountain Ranch in the Ponderosa Room. The ceremony was held out in the meadow nearby with Neil's Baraat circling the parking lot. The reception followed at the Spruce and Ponderosa room with some inside/outside action.
The thing I remember the most of this wedding was the sweet/funny moment in the ceremony was Neil's emotion as Brittney came down the aisle and then when the cloth came down too early and both he and Brittney had a great laugh. The reveal before the reveal. The other thing was Neil and Brittney and their friends LOVE to dance. It was a lot of fun to see how great of a time they all were having.
