I've said it before and I will say it again. The Black Diamond Lodge has to be one of the best wedding venues in Colorado. It has everything a wedding couple would need. Everything is on site. An amazing restaurant, views a plenty, MOUNTAINS!, and places to stay right there for your family and guests.

What does it really for me is the GIANT aspen trees. I grew up in this part of the state and when I see these massive trees they make my soul sing. It's hard to describe. Its like be excited beyond belief and also feeling so calm and serene. Enough about me...

Some interesting details I loved about this wedding: All the guys had ties of typographical maps of Colorado peaks and Kara's grandmother made the veil Kara wore back for her mothers wedding in 1983.

The internet is an amazing and weird place. Kara found Katie and Mike's wedding and fell in love with the scenery and I am beyond tickled that she had me come out with her and Steve for their wedding. Both Kara and Steve live in Denver but wanted to have a wedding vacation for their guests. This is the spot for it.
