First, if you haven't seen Nam and Neel's part 1 of their Hindu wedding you need to start here.
The wedding adventure continued on to Wild Basin Lodge in Allenspark. One of my top five favorite wedding venues. It sits right up next to the Rocky Mountain National Park and isn't right smack in Estes so its easy to get in and out of and still has awesome views.
Neel and Nam decided on this venue for the reception as it could accomodate all their guests, has great mountain views including a river, and they have great spaces indoors and on the patio for their guests to have fun. Since many of their guests were traveling to Colorado for their wedding and they wanted to show Colorado off. They certainly did.
I love Wild Basin Lodge as there is so much variety for portraits. You have a huge meadow view, the river, and my personal favorite; aspen groves. We did portaits at the Black Canyon Inn in their hindu dress and so they opted for more of a western approach at Wild Basin. Which is great for me as I love to give my couples variety. Makes it easy when you have several dress changes.
I still smile when I look at the portraits taken here. They look SOOOO happy. I remember it being so much fun and effortless for them. They truly love one another and truly loved their wedding day. No stress, just smiles and I think it clearly shows. Also doesn't hurt that there are super awesome sunset shots as well.
A HUGE shout out to Susan Morath with Save the Date Events for planning this extravaganza.
I am available for all of Colorado and destination weddings, elopements, and engagements. I love to wander.
